Housekeeper / Family Assistant, Part-time, Alpharetta (Atlanta), GA

New Position. A busy Alpharetta family of four is seeking a detailed Housekeeper / Laundress to assist with the regular care and upkeep of their home two days per week. The household includes young children so the ideal candidate must be comfortable working in an active family environment. The family will be welcoming their third child in January.  The primary focus will be thorough housekeeping and family laundry. The family is looking for someone who notices details that are easily overlooked and can help keep the home consistently clean, organized, and presentable week to week. Someone that is consistent and they can rely on every week.

Responsibilities

• Thorough cleaning of the home, including kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, and common areas
• Dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and general floor care
• Changing bed linens and making beds weekly
• Maintaining presentation, cleanliness and organization of the home
• Complete family laundry, including washing, drying, folding, and putting clothing away
• Proper care of cleaning tools, i.e., vacuums, iron, steam mop, etc.
• Organizing and rotating children’s clothing and toys as needed
• Assisting with seasonal wardrobe changes and keeping closets and drawers organized
• Keeping an eye on household inventory and noting items that are running low or need to be replaced including paper products, cleaning supplies, toiletries, lightbulbs, batteries and other household essentials
• Occasional errands or household-related pickups as needed
• Willingness to briefly supervise the children on occasion while a parent runs an errand
• Pitching in with additional household tasks as time allows

Qualifications: The family is seeking an experienced candidate with a stable employment history and prior experience working in a private home in a similar capacity. Candidates must have a clean background check and MVR, and an excellent command of English, both written and verbal. Only candidates with relevant private household experience will be considered.
