New Position. A private family in the Atlanta area is seeking a talented and experienced Private Chef to prepare fresh, organic, and healthy meals tailored to their preferences. They value high-quality ingredients, creative menus while maintaining a focus on nutrition and balance. The ideal candidate will have a background in private service, knowledge for seasonal cuisine, and the ability to work with a team other staff members. Their current chef of several years is relocating to another state at the beginning of March. The family has minimal dietary restrictions; they only request at all ingredients used a fresh and organic with health always in mind.
Expectations:
- Create and submit weekly menus weekly; menus to include breakfast to-go, lunch and dinner
- Meal prepping, cooking, plating and clean up
- Maintain a log with all principals’ favorite dishes along with the recipe on how to prepare
- Principals will frequently suggest recipes they want prepared as well
- Leave pre-made meals and snacks for later consumption with written instructions on how to heat meals
- Daily grocery shopping for locally sourced organic produce and ingredients
- Discard any expired food from fridge and pantry and ensure they’re well stocked with family’s staple items
- Clean and sanitize work areas before and after mean preparation
- Maintain kitchen inventory, ensure kitchen, cooking utensils, pots and pans are clean and put away every day
- Monitor and restock kitchen supplies as needed
- Ensure organization of kitchen pantry, drawers and cabinets
Qualifications: Culinary degree, expertise in menu creation, minimum 5 or more years of experience working in a private service setting, consistent work history, able to pass extensive background search and read and write English.
