New Position. A lovely Atlanta family of 6 who is also a returning client is seeking an experienced full-time nanny. This is a wonderful family to work for. They’re laid back, active and very engaged in their children’s daily lives. They hired their current nanny 5 months ago and absolutely adore her. However, she will be leaving the position in May due to her own pregnancy. This is a true nanny position. You will be a supporting role to the mother and assist her with all aspects of childcare. Children’s ages vary from 8 years old to 2 years old. Parents are seeking someone energetic and positive to contribute to an already secure and loving environment. Additional information: Family employs a primary nanny who you will rotate schedules with weekly. The primary nanny is an excellent team player and has a wonderful and dynamic personality. The ideal nanny for this position must be athletic and have a cheerful and enthusiastic personality. The family also employs a weekly cleaning service.
Expected duties:
- Assist with managing children’s daily, weekly and monthly calendars including doctor/dental appointments, school, after school activities, playdates, outings, etc.
- Align and adjust care for children to parents style and values
- Daily hygiene care including bathing, brushing teeth, hair care routine and dressing
- Prepare healthy meals and snacks including daily lunch; kitchen clean up after meal preparation
- Ensure children stay active by encouraging age-appropriate activities i.e., indoor playing, park visits, coloring, reading books and art & crafts
- Maintain excellent and open communication with parents and primary nanny on all updates pertaining children
- Assist with packing and unpacking children for trips
- Flexibility to work overnights, weekends and travel
- Order and restock children’s supplies and toiletries on a consistent basis
- Wash, fold and put away children’s laundry
- Maintain cleanliness, organization and sanitation of children’s bedrooms, closets and wardrobes (updating shoes and clothes with proper sizes as needed)
- Contribute to the overall organization and tidiness of the residence
- Travel is expected but travel is not often
Qualifications: Family is seeking a long-term nanny who has prior experience working in a private home in a similar capacity. Must have the following: Up-to-date CPR and First Aid certification, good swimmer, excellent driving record and able to clear an extensive nationwide background check. Excellent command of English both written and verbal, legal status to work in the US. Fluent in Spanish or French is a plus.
