Nanny / Family Assistant, Atlanta, GA (Buckhead)

Position Placed.  An active family in the Atlanta area is seeking an experienced nanny / family assistant to support their 3 children’s schedules and day to day activities.  The children’s ages range from 7 years old to 2 years old.  The 2 older children are in school 5 days a week and the youngest goes to preschool twice a week.  The family is seeking a nanny that has a warm and welcoming demeanor who is creative and encourages their independence.  An individual who is kind, patient and can maintain a positive reinforcement.

Duties will include everything related to the children’s care:

• Provide attentive childcare including feeding, bathing, dressing and assisting with daily routines
• Ensure the safety and well-being of the children both indoors and outdoors
• Safely transport children to and from school, afterschool activities, baseball and basketball practice, playdates and other appointments as needed
• Plan and engage children in age-appropriate educational and recreational activities
• Encourage outdoor play and physical activity to keep children active and healthy
• Prepare healthy snacks and lunch for children
• Support older children with homework, school assignments and getting backpack ready for the next school day
• Maintain open and effective communication with parents
• Perform light housekeeping tasks such as tidying up after children, washing dishes, organizing children’s toys, bedrooms, closets, change linens, laundry, etc.
• Be flexible with schedule for weekends and occasional evening hours
• Serve as a positive role model for the children, promoting good behavior, manners and values

Interested candidates must have stable experience working in a similar role, recent and verifiable references, up-to-date CPR and first aid certification.  Additional requirements: a valid driver’s license, a clean MVR and able to pass an extensive background check.  Must speak and read fluent English.  Family will consider local Atlanta resumes only.
