New Position. A private Atlanta family is seeking an additional housekeeper to join their current staff for their Buckhead and Cumming residences. The Buckhead residence is approximately 15,500 sq. ft. and the Cumming residence is 11,000 sq. ft. Both homes have modern interiors and a unique collection of furnishings. This is a great opportunity for a professional who has worked for a luxury estate and understands the dynamics for working with an established cleaning schedule. A broad knowledge of appropriate cleaning products and techniques for the care of fine furnishings is necessary. Additionally, a good-humored individual with a team player approach is optimum for this position.
Duties are daily detailed housekeeping, on-going organization of all drawers, closets, cabinets, and storage areas. Family laundry is heavy and can take up to 1 - 2 days a week. Laundry chores will be divided among housekeepers. Expertise in proper care of designer clothes, linens, spot treating and folding is essential. Ironing is expected but most garments only need to be steamed and stored correctly. Bed linens are the majority of the heavy ironing. Other duties are receiving service vendors, accepting delivered packages, and getting rid of cardboard boxes, etc.
Additional duties include supporting the family with occasional weekend entertainment. This will be working with the chef and additional servers. Weekend entertainment duties are also divided with other staff members. Most in home entertainment is centered around holidays
Family is willing to pay a top-level salary commensurate with skill set and experience level. Expectations is at least 5 years working on a luxury estate performing a similar job description. Requirements: letters of recommendation, stable work history, physically fit, able to pass an extensive background investigation. English speaking and legal US status.
