Position Placed. An active blended family of 6 is seeking a full-time housekeeper / family assistant to support the Missus with the day-to-day duties and oversee various aspects of the house. Children ages range from 8 to 15 years old. This position will consist of 75% house duties and 25% family assistant duties. Disposition for this family is a calm and take-charge attitude. Parents will do their best to keep your schedule at 40 hours a week but occasional flexibility for a date night may be requested. The family does employ a cleaning service 1 time per week for much of the heavy housework. Once the family has hired for this position, they will be considering an additional hire to help strictly with the laundry.
Housekeeping includes maintaining the general cleanliness and organization of residence during the day when children are in school. Expectations are cleaning the high traffic areas and maintaining their presentability, family laundry, linens and moderate ironing. Organization of closets, wardrobes, cabinets, pantry organization and keeping countertops clear of clutter. Sanitation throughout is most important as children are active in after school activities.
Family assistant duties include running household errands such as grocery shopping, dry cleaning, taking family vehicles to carwashes, personal shopping for Employer, occasional online and in-store returns and making sure all delivered packages are brought in and mail is sorted. Children attend different schools; the Missus and you will be splitting drop-off/pick-up from school daily. Other duties will be prepping a simple breakfast and snacks for the children i.e., fruit smoothies, bagels, yogurt parfaits etc., taking children to after school activities, play dates, tutoring and ensuring they’ve completed homework and project assignments, and backpacks are packed and ready for the following school day.
Principal is seeking someone with a stable employment history. Must haves: a clean background check and motor vehicle report, up-to-date CPR and First Aid certificate, and excellent command of English both written and oral.
