Position Placed. A semi-retired couple who are recent empty nesters and extremely active are in search of a professional family assistant/personal assistant to support their day-to-day schedules and lifestyle. The position will primarily be supporting the Missus and her daily activities in and out of the residence. Your role will be very hands on and require a wide range of skills and versatility. The right candidate must be comfortable working autonomously and capable of developing a system to keep the couple’s residence organized and on track. They do not micromanage, but they do want someone who takes charge and will see a project through to completion. Their two newly adopted dogs are now the new children, along with two old family cats. They consider their pets very important members of their family; therefore, all potential candidates must be animal lovers.
Family Assistant/Personal Assistant:
- Maintain a weekly calendar of all family’s and household’s activities and appointments
- Schedule all such appointments, confirmations and RSVP’s,
- Book travel arrangements: hotel, transportation, itineraries, ensure visas and passports are up to date
- Coordinate and manage vendors i.e., landscapers (1.5-acre property), pressure washing exterior, roof cleaners, window cleaners, pest control, elevator maintenance, etc.
- Manage 3 extensive upcoming renovation projects, contractors, project timelines, bids, contracts, etc.
- Run errands: grocery shopping, dry cleaning, drop off packages, RX pickups, online and in-store returns
- Packing and unpacking
- Handle personal research requests
- Perform personal shopping and returns
- Pets: feeding, walking, vet and groomer appointments, keep food and toys stocked, pet sitting as necessary (Lots of dog sitting)
- Light housekeeping and organization between cleaning service days (they employ a weekly cleaning service)
- Track household inventory for cleaning supplies, toiletries, and household staples
- Take family vehicles in for maintenance and detail service
- Keep pantry and fridge organized and rid of expired items
- Assist with an occasional load of laundry (couple employs a weekly laundress)
All interested applicants should be experienced working in a private home, have a stable work history and know your way around Atlanta. Recent and verifiable references must be provided. Excellent verbal and written command of English language, verbal and written are expected in order to maintain clear and consistent communication with Principals. A successful candidate should have excellent interpersonal skills, be tech savvy and have a positive personality. Additional requirements: pass a nationwide criminal background check, have a clean MVR and be able to work a flexible schedule as needed.
