New Position. A busy family is seeking a highly organized and hands-on Executive Housekeeper / Family Assistant to maintain the overall rhythm and organization of their 10,000 sq ft. residence. This role is best suited for someone who maintains a consistently orderly, “guest-ready” environment while also managing the behind-the-scenes systems that keep a household running smoothly. This position also focuses on occasional support of the family’s 2 school age children. This is a proactive, all-in role for someone who enjoys both executing daily tasks and creating structure.
The family employs a cleaning service one time per week for the heavier housekeeping; therefore general housekeeping duties will be expected daily. The ideal candidate is resourceful and naturally takes initiative without needing direction.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a consistently clean, organized, and “hotel-ready” home through daily resets
- Manage full household laundry, including washing, folding, and putting away
- Implement and maintain organization systems throughout the home, including closets, pantry, storage areas, and shared spaces
- Handle daily cleaning such as tidying, dishes, and surface care (deep cleaning is handled by an outside team)
- Take full ownership of daily household operations with minimal oversight
- Assure service vendors follow Employer’s specific requests when on property, i.e. cleaning services, gardeners and maintenance professionals
- Monitor and maintain household inventory and supplies
- Assist with household errands including grocery shopping, dry cleaning, RX pickups, returns, and general household tasks
- Occasional assist with picking up and dropping off children from school and extracurricular activities, birthday parties, and supervise occasional sleepovers
- Occasional babysitting and overnights with children
- Assist with walking large friendly family dog every day, take to vet appointments as needed
- Occasional support when family entertains on weekends or holidays
Qualified candidates must have minimum of 3 years working in a similar role in a private home. Recent and verifiable references must be provided along with letters of recommendation. This is a job where you must genuinely know how to plan, organize, research and make sure nothing falls through the cracks.
