Executive Housekeeper / Household Assistant / Full-time, Atlanta, GA

A wonderful opportunity for an experienced Executive Housekeeper / Household Assistant position in the Atlanta area has become available. The family’s goal for this position is to preserve the beauty and condition of their new home, ensuring it continues to look as immaculate as it does today. They are seeking someone who will take pride in maintaining the residence and bring order to a bustling household with 3 school age children and a friendly dog. This family enjoys spending time together, traveling and creating a warm, welcoming home environment. They are seeking someone who will become a long-term member of their household team and play an important role in helping their home and family life run smoothly.

Ideal candidate will have several years previous experience working in private households or have received training in private household standards and etiquette. Position requires a thorough understanding of the level of care required for fine finishes, specialty flooring, and high-end fixtures. Should also be comfortable working in a modern, automated home and have the ability to quickly learn new household systems and technology.  Must follow an organized cleaning schedule to ensure every area of the residence receives regular attention and is maintained to a consistent standard throughout the week to help prevent the everyday wear and tear that naturally occurs in an active household. Must be highly organized, proactive, with a pleasant/positive disposition. Strong English communication skills are required, along with the ability to work independently while communicating with the family as needed. A very important quality for this role is someone who enjoys being around children and is comfortable working while they are home, playing, and going about their daily activities.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform detailed daily housekeeping to maintain the residence’s cleanliness
• Complete the family’s laundry, including washing, folding, ironing, steaming, and wardrobe care
• Maintain organization throughout the home, including the laundry room, kitchen, pantry, closets, cabinets, and storage areas
• Change sheets, make beds, refresh bedrooms and bathrooms, and ensure the home remains tidy
• Maintain well-organized linen closets with properly matched and neatly arranged sheet sets and towel collections. (2 sets of sheets for each bed)
• Receive deliveries and packages
• Run household errands, shopping, and occasional returns
• Assist with seasonal organization projects and general household support
• Help maintain the cleanliness of pool house
• Communicate maintenance concerns or household needs to the family
• Work alongside the bi-weekly or monthly cleaning service to ensure the home is consistently maintained to family’s expectations.
• Assure all cleaning tools are working properly, i.e., vacuums, irons, steamers etc.
• Inventory and purchase of all household cleaning and staples items, i.e., cleaners, trash bags, paper products, soaps, vacuum bags, light bulbs etc.
• General walk through of interior for light bulb replacement, plants, leaks, running toilets etc.
• Occasionally assist at family’s North Georgia Lake properties during the warmer months; family employs cleaning services for both properties, but will expect personable touches to both residences (advance notice will be given)

The family is seeking someone with exceptional housekeeping, laundry, and organizational skills who is proactive, able to anticipate the household’s needs, and capable of working independently. Should have a keen eye for detail and take pride in maintaining a home to the highest standards. Strong English communication skills are essential, along with a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and residence within approximately 25 miles of the family’s home. Flexibility to adjust hours occasionally, as the family’s schedule requires, is also appreciated.
