New Position. A returning client in the Atlanta area is seeking a full-time Nanny / Family Assistant. This position centers on providing attentive, nurturing care during the afternoon and evening hours, supporting two children through the most active parts of their day. The role begins in the early afternoon and carries through the evening routine, offering structure, and a calm, consistent presence as the children transitions from school to home, activities, and bedtime. Nanny duties include managing the children’s daily, weekly, and monthly schedules; drive to and from appointments, extracurricular activities, playdates, and outings; and remain closely aligned with the parents’ values and parenting style.
Daily responsibilities include supporting hygiene and self-care routines; bathing, brushing teeth, hair care, and dressing, as well as overseeing homework and reinforcing learning priorities identified by the parents, including reading, speech, social development, and practicing Spanish. The nanny will also prepare healthy snacks and meals, including lunch and dinner, and encourage a wide range of age-appropriate activities, both indoors and outdoors such as creative play, arts and crafts, park visits, museums, and playdates. Maintaining clean, organized, and well-sanitized children’s spaces (bedrooms, closets, wardrobes, and toys) is an important part of the role, along with monitoring and replenishing school supplies, toiletries, and other child-related items. Evening responsibilities include leading a calm, consistent bedtime routine to help the children wind down and feel secure. Flexibility for occasional overnights, weekends, and travel will be requested.
In addition to childcare, the position includes light family assistant support to help the household run smoothly during these later hours. These include assisting with general housekeeping and household organization, family laundry, running errands, grocery shopping, returns, prescription pick-ups, dry cleaning, gift purchases, light meal prep, and monitoring household inventory and staple supplies. The candidate will also receive and organize deliveries, assist with packing and unpacking for trips, and support special organization projects like seasonal wardrobe changes, donation sorting, and storage projects as needed.
Interested applicants should be experienced working in a private home, have a stable work history and know your way around Atlanta and surrounding areas. Recent and verifiable references must be provided. Excellent verbal and written command of English language and Spanish. A successful candidate should have basic tech savvy skills to assist children with online school assignments. Additional requirements: pass a nationwide criminal background check, have a clean MVR and be able to work a flexible schedule as needed.
