New Position. A busy professional couple is seeking a warm, dependable, and proactive Family Assistant/Nanny to care for their two children—a school-aged child and a toddler. The toddler will be in your full-time care until August, at which point they will begin preschool. While the children are in school, the candidate is expected to manage household upkeep and errands. This position offers a great balance of childcare and home support responsibilities. The children are high-energy and therefore the parents expect the candidate to be physically fit and able to keep up; ride bikes, scooters, jump on trampolines and swimming (almost daily during summer).
Nanny Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive care for toddler during the day (until preschool begins)
- School pick-up and afternoon care for both children
- Plan and engage in age-appropriate activities (indoors and outdoors)
- Prepare and serve children’s meals and snacks
- Manage naptime, rest, and quiet time routines
- Support children’s evening routines (bathing, tidying up toys, etc.)
- Create a safe, structured, and nurturing environment
Housekeeping & Household Support:
- Family laundry and very light ironing
- Daily maintenance of high-traffic areas and children’s spaces
- Keep kitchen, play areas, and bedrooms tidy and organized
- Household errands to include grocery shopping, dry cleaning, returns, and supply restocking
- Organize closets, drawers, and general household systems as needed
- Ensure household runs smoothly during school hours
Interested applicants should be experienced working in a private home, have a stable work history and know your way around Atlanta and surrounding areas.
