New Position. This young family in the Atlanta/Buckhead area is looking for someone to become a valued part of their home, someone who will care for their two school age children and help keep daily life running smoothly. The role is evenly split between home support and childcare. When the children are at school, the family will expect help with family laundry, maintaining the cleanliness and organization of all common areas, keeping children’s rooms clean, making beds, vacuuming, taking garbage out, etc.
Once the children are home, the focus shifts fully to them, after school pickup, take to afterschool activities, playing outside, creative play, and helping with dinner and bedtime prep when needed.
The family is looking for someone thoughtful, dependable and warm who feels just as comfortable putting away laundry as they do with engaging with the children. The family will consider a cleaning service every two weeks, but moderate cleaning will still be expected daily.
Flexibility to do weekend babysitting or work an occasional overnight is important. Candidates who can speak a second language with the children is a plus but not a requirement. Family requires all candidates to be fit, healthy and energetic in order to keep up with the demands of the household and the children.
The family is not looking to hire until the first week of August, however they’re willing to hire sooner if they find the right candidate sooner. The family does realize this position will demand someone who is equally as good at housekeeping and organization as they are with children.
To qualify for this position, you must provide recent and verifiable references and letters of recommendation, must pass a thorough and extensive background check, have a clean MVR, current CRP/First Aid certificate, good swimming skills.
