New Position. A private Atlanta family is seeking a career housekeeper / laundress to perform the daily cleaning and organization of their 7,000 sq ft residence. They’re seeking someone with thorough knowledge of cleaning products, who is detailed and proactive. The family also employs a house manager which you will occasionally assist.
Duties include daily room by room housekeeping, maintaining the general tidiness of living areas, and ensuring the residence is presentable. Complete family laundry duties including washing and pressing as needed, ongoing organization of closets, drawers, cabinets and pantry. Additional duties include deep cleaning appliances periodically, maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen, dusting and polishing fixtures, wipe down mirrors and frames, maintain all cleaning equipment and assist principals with packing and unpacking. You can also report any necessary repairs or replacements to the houseman. You’ll be asked to monitor inventory for cleaning supplies and products and submit a weekly to the house manager.
When the family travels you’ll have time to assist with special projects, i.e., rotating seasonal clothing and shoes, sort items for donation, declutter and organization of storage spaces, turning mattresses over, ensuring linen sets are complete, etc.
This position requires someone with related working experience in a similar role for a private family. Must have strong command of English, both written and oral, excellent verifiable references, able to clear a background check and MVR. Legal status to work in the US is required.
