Handyman / Groundskeeper, Full-time, Atlanta (Buckhead), GA Hanna

New Position.  A private couple in Atlanta is seeking a skilled and dependable Handyman / Groundskeeper to oversee the maintenance and upkeep of their primary residence, with occasional support at a nearby second home. This is a hands-on role best suited for someone who takes pride in creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces while ensuring the overall functionality of the property. The couple, though older, remain active and are looking for someone who is proactive, professional, and discreet, with a background in private estate work.

Primary responsibilities will include maintaining the appearance of the exterior grounds, including landscaping, cultivate and maintain the cutting garden, seasonal planting and design, and maintaining lawns, trees, and shrubbery. The ideal candidate will have experience coordinating seasonal color beds, scheduling regular lawn care, trimming, debris removal, and managing the hiring of additional help as needed for larger installations. A strong working knowledge of plant care, including fertilization schedules, pest control, weeding, and the maintenance of both annuals and perennials, is important.

This role also involves basic handyman tasks such as light plumbing, minor repairs, changing bulb and light fixtures. A daily walk-through of the property will be expected to identify and promptly address any issues. Additional duties include swimming pool maintenance, light vehicle cleaning and servicing, occasional chauffeur responsibilities, and managing the inventory and procurement of landscaping tools and gardening supplies.

Client will only be interviewing local Georgia candidates.  Candidates should have 5+ years of experience in similar roles within private households, verifiable references, and be comfortable working independently with minimal oversight. You must have a clean background check, a valid driver’s license with a clear MVR, and excellent communication skills in English. A positive attitude, reliability, and a strong work ethic will be key to success in this long-term role.
