The nanny will support the children’s daily routines including morning transitions, meals, rest periods, and hands-on activities that encourage independence, and creativity. Days will include neighborhood walks, outdoor play, park time, reading together, simple arts and crafts projects, and helping the children feel confident moving through their day.
The nanny will help manage the children’s schedules, keeping track of appointments, activities, playdates, and will communicate regularly with the parents about daily highlights, challenges, milestones, and overall well-being. Other responsibilities include keeping children’s spaces organized and tidy; putting away toys, resetting play areas at the end of the day, handling children’s laundry, and staying ahead of clothing and shoe needs as the children grow. The nanny will also be in charge of ensuring children’s supplies and toiletries are stocked and organized.
Meal preparation is an important part of the day and includes preparing simple, healthy meals and snacks for the children, introducing new foods when appropriate, and involving the children in age-appropriate kitchen tasks when possible.

The ideal nanny is organized, intuitive, and comfortable adjusting routines as the family’s needs evolve. Above all, this position is suited for someone who can bring a lot of flexibility to the role and able to adapt to the family’s needs and last minute changes.
