New Position. New parents in the Brookhaven area are seeking a full-time Nanny / Family Assistant to become an important part of their home as they adjust to life with their newborn. This is a hands-on, all-in position for someone who enjoys caring for an infant and being helpful with household duties.
Your primary focus will be providing nurturing care for the infant. Expectations are to be attentive, nurturing, soothing and being tuned into early developmental changes as they happen. The parents, along with an infant specialist, are currently establishing feeding and sleeping schedules which the nanny will continue implementing. Responsibilities will be overall hygiene, keeping nursery clean, organized and stocked. The family is looking for someone who is comfortable taking the lead with infant routines and who genuinely enjoys being present and engaged with a baby during these early months.
When Mom or the baby is napping, the family would appreciate someone who can shift gears and assist with keeping the house running smoothly. This includes daily housekeeping, family laundry, tidying common areas, and helping with general household organization. There may be occasional requests for meal prep, local errands, and supervision of vendors on the property.
The family has a very sweet Labrador retriever, so comfort around dogs is important. Light pet-related help, such as letting the dog out, refilling water bowls, or keeping dog areas tidy will be part of the daily rhythm. This role is best suited for someone who works autonomously, notices what needs to be done, and takes pride in contributing to a calm, well-kept home. The family plans to grow in the future and hopes to find someone who’s seeing a long-term position.
To qualify for this position, you must provide recent and verifiable references and letters of recommendation, be able to pass a thorough and extensive nationwide background check, have a clean MVR, current CRP/ First Aid Certificate, good swimming skills. Must speak fluent English.
