The family has a long tenured staff already in place to include a full-time housekeeper and full-time handyman and driver.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining daily communication with the employer regarding meal planning, upcoming events, travel schedules, and overall household needs
- Planning, preparing, and executing daily evening meals using fresh, high-quality ingredients
- Creating customized menus tailored to the household’s preferences
- Sourcing and shopping for groceries and specialty ingredients
- Maintaining the kitchen and pantry to the highest standards of cleanliness and organization
- Coordinating and scheduling vendors including landscapers, pool and gate maintenance, pest control, and general home services
- Overseeing contractors and managing the scheduling of repairs and preventative maintenance (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, irrigation systems)
- Remaining familiar with the mechanical systems of the home, including elevator operation, alarm systems, phone systems, and multiple HVAC zones
- Assisting with the planning and execution of family dinners, holidays, fundraisers, book clubs, and other social gatherings
- Coordinating event setup, breakdown, and overall flow, including assisting with logistics and security for larger functions
- Providing hands-on household support as needed, including assisting with laundry, ironing, linens, and general housekeeping alongside existing staff
- Supporting the upkeep of interior and exterior areas such as garages, porches, pool areas, and surrounding property
- Coordinating weekly floral arrangements with vendors
- Providing house-sitting and oversight of the residence when the family is traveling
- Stepping in to support other staff functions as needed to ensure continuity of service when team members are absent
- Maintenance of staff household vehicle
- End of monthly reconciliation of house credit card
The ideal candidate will have private home experience, be organized and service-oriented, and have strong cooking skills. They should be comfortable in a casual setting while able to elevate their presence for more formal occasions. Job requires a personable, genuine individual who works well with others and carries themselves with humility and professionalism.
