Hands on House Manager / Family Assistant, Full-time, Atlanta, GA (Buckhead area)

New Position starting March 1, 2026. A private family in Buckhead is seeking an experienced Hands on House Manager / Family Assistant to oversee the daily care and upkeep of their 12,000 square-foot residence. The home is occupied by three family members and their friendly dogs. They have a professional cleaning service once per week for heavier cleaning. The family is looking for an experienced, detail-oriented housekeeper who will maintain a beautifully kept, well-organized home and can manage day-to-day household routines with minimal direction.

The primary focus of this role is hands-on housekeeping and household organization. Responsibilities include establishing and maintaining a structured cleaning schedule, performing daily general housekeeping, and caring for all flooring surfaces, furnishings, and high-touch areas throughout the home. Other responsibilities include detailed wardrobe care, household laundry, light ironing and steaming as needed, and ongoing organization of closets, drawers, pantries, and storage spaces to ensure everything remains orderly and easy to maintain. Maintaining inventory of household supplies and staples and restocking.

In addition to housekeeping duties, the position includes supervising the weekly cleaning service when on site, receiving packages and mail, running household errands such as grocery shopping, and assisting with light meal preparation when time allows. Pet care is an important part of the role and includes feeding, assisting with walks, and coordinating veterinary and grooming appointments. Occasional school pickup for one child may be requested. Optional overnight coverage for child or pets may be requested when the family travels.

Candidates must have a minimum of four years of recent, verifiable experience in a similar private household housekeeping role, along with excellent spoken and written English, legal authorization to work in the U.S., a clean background report, and strong professional references. Basic computer and smartphone skills are required. This position is ideal for a polished, reliable housekeeper whose consistent, organized and maintain a high standard of cleanliness in a private home.
