New Position. A busy family of five with two friendly dogs is seeking a proactive, hands-on highly experience executive housekeeper who can also provide family assistant duties. This position will replace the family’s long-term employee of ten years. With the location of this residence being in Rome, Georgia, this is ideal for candidates living in or near the Adairsville or Cartersville area.
The primary focus of this position is to support the family with their daily activities by maintaining a organized and well planned household routine and calendar. The family does employee an outside handyman who also provides heavier cleaning. Additionally, they have a weekly cleaning service.
The required candidate will need be able to work autonomously and work with little supervision from employer. Must be someone who takes initiative and is adaptable to a dynamic household. Flexibility is essential, this is not a role suited for someone with a rigid approach to tasks. Household needs can change quickly, and daily plans may shift without notice. For example, if you are in the middle of laundry and are asked to assist with a more urgent matter, you should be able to adjust your priorities accordingly.
Responsibilities include maintaining daily general housekeeping of high traffic areas, ensuring organization and tidiness throughout common areas, and managing all family laundry, including folding and putting items away. The role also entails monitoring household inventory, ordering and replenishing supplies, running various errands such as grocery shopping, pharmacy pickups, returns, and dry cleaning, and receiving packages while breaking down cardboard boxes. Pet care is an important component of the position, including walking, feeding, and occasional dog sitting when the family travels.
