Salary: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour

Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 am – 5:30 pm (occasional flex to arrive earlier or leave later due to circumstances)

New Position. A senior couple in the Cobb area is seeking a full-time companion / family assistant to support them with their daily routines. The Missus has limited mobility, but both are still very independent. Their adult children are conducting interviews and are hoping to find someone who’s able to assist their parents’ current lifestyle so they may enjoy their sunset years. This is a new position for the parents; therefore, the job description will evolve as everyone gets acquainted and has a better idea of all their needs. They are hoping to find someone mature who understands the aging process and its challenges.  Personality traits: Kind, common sense, calm with a sunny disposition.

Personal companion duties will include anything necessary to support both Mister and Missus. She is having some difficulty with mobility due to a recent back injury. For now, she is very independent. The Mister is also mobile but uses a walker to assist with balance. Both of them are of sound mind.  Managing their doctor’s appointments and medications will be a part of your duties along with an occasional accompaniment to a routine doctor’s visit.

Household Duties: Household Duties: Meal preparation will be an important part of the position. Meals are fairly simple and will normally consist of a very light breakfast and a combined lunch/dinner in the late afternoon. Meals should be nutritious and prepared with their preferences in mind. Additional responsibilities will include keeping household staples and cleaning products stocked, grocery shopping, dry cleaning, returns and other household errands. Daily housekeeping and general tidying will also be required, along with laundry, changing linens and keeping closets, drawers, cabinets and pantries clean and organized.

Must be physically fit and capable to assist with walking support devices, presentable appearance, CPR certification, experience working with seniors, MUST BE DEPENDABLE, have a clear, 100% command of English language.  Work history in private home companion care providing the duties listed above will offer you the higher end of the hourly rate. A car will be provided for any household errands.
