New Position. A family new to Atlanta is seeking an experienced nanny to support their children and their schedules full-time. The family has three school-age children. They’re hoping to find a nanny who can provide a structured yet fun environment where the children can feel confident and well-adjusted socially, outside the family circle.  Parents also need someone who can assist and encourage the children toward their traditional milestones.  Both parents have demanding careers and are looking for someone who will confidently take the lead during the day while keeping the children’s routines and schedules running smoothly. They appreciate a nanny who encourages good manners, independence, and respect. They want their home to feel calm, happy, and well organized, even on the busiest days.

Daily responsibilities: stocking backpacks based on their daily school curriculum and after school activities, preparing healthy meals and snacks, supervising getting everyone ready for school, school drop-offs and pickups, helping with homework. When time permits, planning educational and creative activities, outdoor play is preferred, weather permitting, reading, arts and crafts, and keeping the children active throughout the day. Children’s access to devices is very very limited, therefore they have a strict policy on the nanny’s use of their cellphone.  The nanny will also be responsible for all child-related housekeeping, including children’s laundry, keeping bedrooms and play areas organized, maintaining inventory for clothing, and making sure everything the children need are well stocked.

During school breaks and summers, the family enjoys spending time outdoors and traveling.  The parents are very athletic, so vacations almost always include physical activity: biking, hiking, swimming.  They would love to find someone who enjoys the same type of activities. They need someone available for travel to accompany them on domestic and international trips throughout the year. Flexibility for a few overnight stays and occasional weekends is normally due to parent’s business trips.  It’s not mandatory but would be appreciated. Schedules will be communicated well in advance whenever possible.

The ideal candidate will have at least five years of recent experience as a professional nanny in private homes, along with a stable work history and excellent recent references. A valid driver’s license, clean driving record, current passport, and CPR/First Aid certification are required. A degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is a plus but not required. The children’s mother is fluent in multiple languages, therefore fluency in a second language would be a real plus, but not a deal breaker. Great swimmer.  A staff car is provided for transporting the children and running errands. Above all, the family is hoping to find someone looking for a long-term position who will become a trusted and valued part of their children’s lives.
