New Position. A well respected and community-minded family, deeply engaged in their local community, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Domestic Couple." to maintain both their primary residence and lakefront compound. The family’s primary residence has a main house and is on 5 acres. The lake compound has a large main home, a secondary residence / cottage, and has extensive grounds. The lake property is frequently used for hosting overnight guests, entertainment events and philanthropic gatherings; guests also use the property on weekends. The ideal couple will work as a team, dividing duties in a traditional manner while collaborating closely to ensure that both properties are maintained to an acceptable standard. Flexibility, discretion, and the ability to anticipate the needs are essential. Your work will be divided between both locations as schedule requires.
Exterior & Maintenance Duties (Male Role)
- Source, schedule and oversee all household-related property services and vendors
- Provide minor handyman services including electrical and plumbing
- General property inspection, oversight and trouble-shooting
- Assist in project planning and budgeting
- Garden / landscaping maintenance
- Routine inspection and maintenance of irrigation system
- Manage and troubleshoot IT systems; monitor and maintain HVAC systems
- Monitor property security and maintain emergency plans for weather-related conditions
- Complete seasonal property maintenance
- Maintain pool, exterior furniture, patios, gates, fountains and all outdoor entertainment areas; ensure cleanliness of pool house
- Handle all trash and compost removal
- Perform handyman duties including:
- Paint touchups
- Siding maintenance
- Clean our gutters periodically
- Roofing inspections
- Indoor / outdoor lighting inspection and maintenance
- Fixture replacement, and all repairs
- Care for watercraft, including fueling and servicing. Also 3 docks included.
- Maintain grill/barbecue area and equipment
- Provide guests at lake property with an overview of house systems, pontoon boat and other amenities.
Interior Responsibilities (Female Role )
- Develop and maintain a systematic cleaning schedule for each residence
- Provide daily detailed housekeeping
- Organize closets, cabinets, and storage areas
- Manage family laundry and ironing
- Enforce proper care of specialty surfaces and fine household items
- Maintain household inventory and order supplies
- Assist with events including set up and clean up
- Occasional cooking for family if time permits
- If time permits, provide household errands including grocery shopping, dry cleaning, returns, order supplies online, manage pantry inventory, etc.
- Assist with managing calendar for family, guests and visitors at lakefront property
- Oversee the readiness of the guest residence each week or weekend:
- Ensuring residence is clean, organized and inviting
- Stock inventory with essentials, toiletries, staple items and any items requested by guests
This hands-on position requires a proactive couple capable of managing two luxury homes and a mid-size guesthouse with efficiency, consistency, and a commitment to seeing each responsibility through to an end. All candidates will be required to have full command of English language, written and oral along with legal authorization to work in the US.
