New Position. A lovely Atlanta Family is seeking a hands-on, nurturing, and reliable Nanny/Family Assistant to support their school-aged children. Their current nanny will be moving in September. The ideal candidate will be someone who genuinely enjoys working with older children, those who are growing more independent yet still benefit from structure, encouragement, and a consistent adult presence. In this position you are expected to be 100% engaged with the children; no scrolling or talking on phone. This is a no-device household; meaning there are no cellphones, tablets or TV’s.
This role centers around after-school support, including school pick-ups, driving to and from extracurriculars, helping with homework, preparing simple, healthy meals or snacks, and providing general oversight during the after-school and early evening hours. The right person will have a good sense of when to step in and when to give the children space to grow. Someone who can foster open communication, promote good habits, and act as a positive role model will be a great fit. Other duties will include performing occasional household, i.e., grocery shipping, returns, RX pickups, etc.
Additional responsibilities will include managing school calendars, coordinating doctor and dental appointments, and keeping an eye on day-to-day logistics that make a household run smoothly. As the children continue to mature and become more self-sufficient, there will be an opportunity for this position to grow into more family assistant duties, helping with errands, light organization projects, and occasional scheduling support for the parents.
