New Position. A close-knit Atlanta family is seeking an experienced nanny to split their week between two homes. The arrangement is made up of two sisters and their respective families. One sister has 2 children and lives in the Buckhead area. She has a toddler and a 10-month-old. The younger sister lives in the Alpharetta/Cumming area and just welcomed her first baby. The sisters plan to move to Atlanta next door to each other in the next two years.
Scope of duties:
- Provide attentive childcare including feeding, bathing, dressing and assisting with daily routines
- Ensure the safety and well-being of the children both indoors and outdoors
- Safely transport children to and from activities, playdates, outings and other appointments as needed
- Plan and engage children in age-appropriate educational and recreational activities
- Provide individual attention to each child based on their interests and needs
- Encourage outdoor play and physical activity to keep children active and healthy
- Prepare healthy snacks and lunch for children
- Complete laundry, make beds, sanitize toys, pacifiers, bottles and organize rooms and closets
- Ensure children stay on their structured schedules
- Teach and practice social etiquette and manners like “please” and “thank you”
- Babysit for date nights and overnights as needed (advance notice will be given)
- Assist with light housekeeping chores and general tidiness of high traffic areas
- Assist with children birthday parties and other children’s events
- Track and replenish children’s supplies: toys, shoes, clothes, swimsuits, diapers, bottles, etc.
Requirements: Prior experience working with children and infants in a private home setting, provide recent verifiable refences, a current CPR and First Aid certificate, excellent swimming skills, clean driving record, able to pass an extensive background check and English as a first language. Must have legal status to work in the US. Fluent in Spanish or French is a plus.
