Hand on House Manager / Full-time, Atlanta, GA (Buckhead)

New Position. Semi-retired couple relocating to Buckhead are seeking a hands-on house manager to oversee and manage their 12,000 square foot estate on 3 acres.  Completion of renovation of Buckhead residence is not expected until April 2023, but for the ideal candidate who needs earlier employment, principals will consider a February 2023 start date.

Due to the frequent absence of the Principals, this will be a one person position with the additional assistance from local vendors and services.  Therefore, a hands-on individual with a broad range of skills and knowledge from housekeeping to vendor management is needed.  Also considering the Principals busy travel schedule this position will require flexibility for overnights to assist with house and pet sitting.

Overall scope of duties: Assure residence is always prepared for principals arrival.  Basics include creating a systematic cleaning schedule for entire residence with detailed housekeeping and maintaining all furnishings and surfaces with the appropriate products.  Very important is ongoing organization of all cabinets, closets, and drawers.  The laundry is considered light.  However, excellent folding skills are required.  Ironing is only bed linens and the occasional man’s shirt.  Other duties include all household errands consisting of grocery shopping, picking up/dropping off dry cleaning, maintaining a weekly inventory of household staples, bulk items and principals personal products; shopping and online ordering to restock.  Principals will also expect all mail to be collected and sorted, along with receiving all delivered packages and handing any returns.

Additional duties include creating an approved list of vendors and property services, taking full charge of vetting, obtaining prices, scheduling and managing vendors while serving as the primary point of contact for all household maintenance and emergencies.  Principals also host occasional dinner parties; assistance will be required.

All candidates applying are required to have a minimum of 5 years of experience working in a private home.  Recent and verifiable work history and references must be provided.  Family prefers an individual living in the metro Atlanta area.  A clean background check and motor vehicle report is required.  Must have legal status to work in the US.  Excellent command of English, both written and oral.  Computer proficiency is required.  An individual with a pleasant disposition who requires little to no direction.
