New Position. Busy executives with a home in the heart of Buckhead is seeking a housekeeper experienced with caring for quality artwork and antiques. This is the family’s second home, so they are only in residence 1 X per month. That could change in the future too more frequent visits. There is an option to work a second day per week when they are in residence but not mandatory. This is a fairly direct job description. It’s maintaining the overall cleanliness and proper care of a lifetime of collected glassware, artwork and antiques.
This position requires someone knowledgeable with products used on museum quality furnishings and has enough foresight to stop and ask if they are unsure. The right candidate will also need to continually learn how to properly handle new pieces as the Principals are growing their antique collections.
A structured routine will be expected for the cleaning of entire home. Other duties include organization of all linen closets and drawers. Getting the residence ready with fresh bed linens, flowers and groceries ahead of Principal’s arrival. Local errands will be requested, for example: picking up dry cleaning and occasional grocery shopping.
To qualify for this position, you must have reliable transportation, a clean background, excellent command of the English language – both written and oral. Only candidates with 3 or more years of private home experience with similar job description will be considered. Possibly someone with previous work history restoring antiques or worked in an antique store might be an option. Recent and verifiable references are required.
