Executive Housekeeper / Laundress, Full-Time, Atlanta, GA (Buckhead)

New Position. A Buckhead family with 3 Atlanta residences is seeking an experienced executive housekeeper/laundress who will divide their weekly schedule between the different homes.  Their primary home located in Buckhead is fully staffed and will only require one day a week assisting their staff members with general housekeeping and organizational duties.  Their two other residences are located in the Druid Hills area. Your schedule will be divided 2 days at each home.  Only one of those Druid Hills homes is occupied full-time with an elderly person.  This position is ideal for someone who is self-directed and has years of working independently.  A pleasant, positive, can-do attitude is essential.

You will receive the day-to-day assignments from the estate manager.  Duties will include the following:

• All aspects of the detailed housekeeping of residences
• Perform quality cleaning of fine china, furniture, art, and surfaces
• Laundry to include table and bed linens and the occasional custom garment
• Maintain linen and towel closets organized
• Ironing to include bed, table linens and occasional garments
• Execute seasonal deep cleaning
• Ensure organization of closets, wardrobes, pantries, cabinets, and other storage areas
• Throw out expired food/snacks
• Polish crystal glassware and silverware
• Keep an inventory of all personal items and household supplies (light bulbs, batteries, cleaning supplies etc.) and restock as needed
• Occasional household errands including grocery shopping and dry cleaning
• Work closely with other staff on various household projects
• Flexibility to assist at main residence with an occasional dinner party or event
• Identify any potential issues around the residences and bring to the estate manager’s attention

Qualifications:

• Must have a minimum of 3+ years of related work experience in a private residence
• Able to provide excellent references from current and previous employers
• Fluent in English both written and verbal
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
• Valid US work authorization and driver’s license
• Principal will consider local Georgia candidates only
