Position Placed. Established Atlanta couple is seeking professional experienced domestic couple to oversee and manage the unique maintenance needs of their 10-acre estate and its 15,000 square foot residence. Principal is seeking a couple that is proactive, communicative and will continuously and efficiently contribute to a pleasant atmosphere.
Ideally, the principals would prefer a domestic couple but would consider two individuals to fulfill the same roles. Principals are only in their Atlanta residence 5 to 6 months per year therefore being totally reliant on the staff to be plugged in to whatever is happening on the property. Living in is preferred, but if staff prefers to live out it will be expected they will check on property on their days off. Due to principals absence 6 months of the year, you will work more hours when they are in residence and less hours when they are away.
Expectations and responsibilities for the estate will be as follows: Female role will require maintaining all aspects of the general housekeeping and deep cleaning of the interior. There is a high expectation for overall organization, along with wardrobe care and closet maintenance, inventory of all residential supplies, preparing residence for principals arrival, and all household errands. Other duties include packing and unpacking for travel, occasional cooking for family or guests;(Culinary training is not necessary but it is a plus.) and any other assignments that complements the position. Principals also have a large friendly Labrador dog, considered the most significant of all the family members. You must truly love animals.
Male duties include all property maintenance and preventability of exterior. This will include handyman duties, gardening, general electrical and plumbing, cleaning all outdoor entertainment areas, cleaning fountains and pool, pressure washing as needed and changing lightbulbs. This position requires someone who can identify issues and repair or schedule services. The goal is to familiarize yourself with the ins and outs of the residence to ensure it receives the upmost care. Additional duties consist of occasional chauffeuring duties, minor woodwork repairs, touch up paint, maintain organization of garage and care for several family autos; clean, fuel and take in for service. A background in horticultural and landscaping is a plus.
Duties as a Couple: Schedule and manage all household vendors and services, travel with family as needed, assist with dinner parties or large functions held at residence and mostly importantly provide dog care and sitting when needed. Security of the property is of utmost concern. Principal will expect anyone coming onto the property is properly screened and managed during their entire appointment. Management of residence is done through smart home technology along with the family’s current supporting infrastructure.
Principals will only consider couples or individuals who can offer a flexible schedule with at least 4 years of experience working in a similar setting and show a stable employment history. Must be able to present recent and verifiable references, able to pass a national background investigation including credit history and have a strong knowledge of information technology.
