Position Placed. Semi-retired couple with primary residence in Sandy Springs is seeking a full-time Chef / Family Assistant with flexibility to travel 9 weeks per year. Travel locations will be Bahamas 3 weeks per year, Colorado 6 weeks per year, with the remaining months spent at Atlanta residence. Travel is not consecutive; normally only 2 weeks at a time. Additionally, principal will provide you with travel schedule to other residences 30 days in advance.
Principal is only considering culinary trained candidates with experience preparing meals with diet restrictions. One family member has celiac disease requiring menus to be highly monitored for precise accuracy with all planned ingredients. All menus should be prepared with 100% fresh and organic components. Principal expects weekly lunch and dinner menus submitted one week ahead for approval. Position requires full charge kitchen duties including inventory, purchasing of all food and staple items, stocking all fridges with weekend snacks and beverages, complete organization of kitchen layout and sanitizing countertops, floors, appliances, etc.
Family Assistant duties include but are not limited to management of property services and vendors, overseeing billing, calendar management for family travel, assist with event planning, running various errands and occasional pet sitting.
Qualifications: Culinary degree, expertise in menu creation, ability to travel, above average technology proficiency, physically capable of lifting 30 lbs. or more, minimum 3 years of experience working in a private service setting, able to pass extensive background search.
