Nanny/ Infant Care, Live-out, Full-time, Atlanta, GA (Buckhead)

Position Pending.  A young professional couple are excited to becoming first time parents in October.  They are looking for the experience and wisdom of a career Nanny to assist them with the care of their newborn.  Both parents will be on paternity leave until the end of 2022.  This position can be offered with two options.  First option: The family hires a separate infant care specialist for the first eight weeks which would bring the start date for a full-time Nanny to December.  Second option: Start as the infant care specialist for the first 8 weeks then switch to a permanent full-time Nanny with a day schedule, Monday – Friday, 9 am to 5:00 pm.  The family is fine with either option.  They are seeking a mature minded nanny with a pitch-in and cheery approach.  The parents are not planning to have any more children; therefore, they hope to find someone long term who will be present to help with milestones and developmental stages of their only child.

Primary nanny duties will include everything related to their child’s well-being and development.  Nursery and Baby duties:  infant feedings, changing, engaging in tummy time, setting a naptime and sleep schedule as well as preparing bottles and maintaining feeding schedule.  Other duties include encouraging social interaction and continuously provide a stimulating environment.  Always supervising any change in infant’s behavior.  Additionally, wash bottles, full charge of infant’s laundry, maintain nursery organization, monitor and order all child related supplies, maintain and sanitize all nursery surfaces and baby’s toys.   Schedule and transport to pediatric appointments and follow up visits.  Availability for extended hours on date nights or overnights when parents are traveling.  Travel with the family will be required twice per year.  Parents will communicate well far in advance of any changes to schedule.

As baby matures parents want someone capable of implementing a stimulating and supportive environment through reading, educational games and crafts, outdoor activities, outings and exercises.

All candidates to be considered must have 4 or more years of verifiable infant experience and certifications.   Current CPR and First Aid Certificate, a clean motor vehicle report.  Excellent command of English both written and oral is required.  Drive and have own transportation.
